Althea Waterful Green Bamboo Pads and Skin Relief Calming Cream Review

Althea Korea just dropped 2 new products and they are not stopping. We can all expect more products that they will be launching this year! I can't wait for their next release. I'm sharing with you here today my thoughts about their new products; Althea Waterful Green Bamboo Pads and the Althea Skin Relief Calming Cream.

Let's start with the Waterful Green Bamboo Pads:

The tube is kinda big for the size of the actual pads. I like the packaging and the design but maybe they can choose a smaller tub for the pads

Product Description

This product instantly soothes and deeply moisturizes the skin. It is packed with moisturizing ingredients to give skin a healthy glow. It also keeps the skin hydrated all day long because of their Moist-veil System Technology.

What is Moist-Veil System Technology?

"Althea’s Waterful Green Bamboo Pads prevents moisture evaporation by forming a moisture network patch to keep moisture in. One swipe replenishes moisture while encouraging the absorption of active ingredients for skin that glows." - Althea

  • Gentle non-irritation treatment for mild troubled skin.

 This product for me is unique because of its gauze-like pads. According to Althea, These pads are made using a mix of eucalyptus and tencel to create natural cotton gauze that allows the essence to absorb well onto the skin. The pads are well soaked with the essence in the tub. 
Expiry date can be seen at the bottom of the box.

VERDICT

The Waterful Green Bamboo Pads are moisture pads that prepare our skin for that long-lasting moisture and hydration we all need especially this summer. This product for me is unique because of its gauze-like pads and because of the gauze-like pads most of the essence transfers easily to the face. You can use this product in 2 ways. You can use it as a toner or as a mask. I really love the moisturizing effect it gives to my skin. I also love the refreshing scent this product has. It has a mild and soothing scent. It keeps my face looking fresh and hydrated. I would definitely recommend this product!

Product Description

This product keeps irritated & sensitive skin calm and cool. It is intensively hydrating and deeply moisturizing. and it is reinforcing the skin’s barrier by Panthenol & 5 soothing ingredients. This is a soothing cream that hydrates and repairs damage.


KEY INGREDIENT

This product contains Panthenol and a soothing complex made with 5 soothing ingredients to strengthen the skin.

What is PANTHENOL?
Panthenol is made from Pantothenic Acid which is also called vitamin B5. This ingredient is common to most of the skincare products because it easily penetrates the skin.



INTENSIVELY HYDRATING AND DEEPLY MOISTURIZING

A mix of shea butter and hydrogenated lecithin nourish the skin and form a moisture barrier while chamomile water and seawater soothe and improve moisture retention in the skin. - Althea

HOW TO USE

After cleansing and toning the skin, apply an even layer and gently pat in till absorbed.

VERDICT
If you want a product that can instantly hydrate and moisturize your skin then this product is perfect for you! When applied, it doesn't feel sticky at all, it is absorbed by the skin easily and my face feels refreshed also because of the fresh and mild scent it has. Achieve that glass-skin dreams with this. Perfect for everyday use especially now that it's summer. I highly recommend this product! <3

Althea Korea launched their newest collection last April 20, 2019 in Malaysia. Meet the A'Bloom Collection, this is their latest in-house brand that promises to bring an explosion of fun to your beauty routine. These are the products included in this collection:


Althea A'Bloom Meringue Puffs

This is Althea's first ever made beauty tool that will surely help us achieve that flawless foundation look we have aiming for ever since. They come in 2 different shapes: Giant (ideal for covering large areas of the face) and Baby (a set of 3 to get into nooks and crannies of the face). They are best used when damp, and it will expand up to 1.5 times the original size. I like to use this when applying my foundation and concealer because it helps me blend it faster and make it more seamless to the skin.

BHA Blackhead Blaster

What is BHA?

What do I like about this product? It doesn't hurt everytime I extract those unwated blackheads around my nose, I'm used to using nose strips to remove my blackheads and it sure is not comfortable when I pull it out but it does the job. With this product, it doesn't hurt but it still does its job. Its a win-win situation.

VERDICT

To be honest I didn't notice any huge difference when I used all these Masks because I only have 1 of each but there's still a small difference I noticed, I love the effect of the brightening lemon lime mask, it gives me instant glow and makes my skin looks supple. Actually, all these face masks makes my skin look supple, I enjoy using these when they are cold. The Brightening Lemon Lime Mask and Moisturizing Watermelon Mask are my favorite because of the scent. I will definitely test these masks again and get more stocks at Althea. I suggest to use the remaining essence on the pouch on your face and neck area and gently massage upwards.

ALTHEA KOREA recently launched a bunch of new makeup products under their brand namely; Althea Spotlight Eye Glitters, Flawless Creamy Concealers, Watercolor Cream Tints, and the Sunrise & Moonrise Eye Palette. Let's talk about these products one by one.



ALTHEA SPOTLIGHT EYE GLITTERS

The Althea Spotlight Eye Glitters comes in two shades namely, #01 Gold Light and #02 Pink Light

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

 VERDICT
I was impressed with this product right after I tried it for the first time. This eye glitter is perfect for everyday use when you want subtle shimmery eyes on a broad daylight. I tried using this product with an eyeliner brush and it did perform well but I prefer using the brush provided because the product is more pigmented with it. And yes, true to their claims the glitters used are finely milled.

ALTHEA WATERCOLOR CREAM TINTS

The Althea Watercolor Cream Tint comes in 4 shades namely; #01 Plum Cream, #02 Strawberry Cream, #03 Peach Cream, and #04 Marron Cream.

 VERDICT

PIGMENTED. EASY TO BLEND. MOISTURIZING. You can use this cream tints in three ways:

- you can use this to create that perfect ombre lips because of its consistency. it's really creamy and therefore making it a lot easier to blend.

- you can use this to create a bold semi-matte lip look. Just use the "tissue" trick. Get a tissue and press it on your lips to remove the glossy finish.

- you can use this to create fresh glossy lips.

ALTHEA FLAWLESS CREAMY CONCEALERS

 VERDICT

If you want a concealer that does its job really well in hiding all your blemishes but still at an affordable price then this concealer is perfect for you! It has a medium to full coverage. At first, I find it really hard to work with this product because it dries up kinda fast and it dries down to almost matte. but when I tried using facial oil as my base it really worked well for me. It was easy to blend and hides my dark undereye circles.

WHAT IS ALTHEA PORE PURIFYING SERUM CLEANSER?

HOW TO USE
Dampen the skin and apply on a small amount. Gently massage onto the skin in circular motions for 5-10 seconds before rinsing off with water.

The packaging is pretty basic. It does not come with a box. A short product description is included on the bottle.

VERDICT
The first thing I can say about this product is that it doesn't make my face dry everytime I use this. Usually when you use cleansers it will leave your skin dry but this one doesn't. It leaves my skin looking healthy and supple. It also removes my makeup without having to put on pressure to my face just to remove the stubborn mascara I have on my eyelashes. It really does a great job melting the makeup on my face. I also noticed that this serum cleanser is really gentle on my face, I did not feel any sting on my face when I use it. I'm currently using this to remove my makeup and I'm loving it. Get yours now!

Real Fresh Skin Detoxer

Last August, Althea Korea launched their Real Fresh Skin Detoxer in collaboration with Get It Beauty. They recommend us to use the Rose version every morning and the Green Tea version at night. I tried both of these products for one whole month, just these two. I did not use any product besides these two for the whole month. For me, this duo is perfect for those people that are always on the go every morning, and for the people who doesn't want to go through the process of "skincare" every night.

PACKAGING
Can I just say that I really love their packaging?! The bottles have a matte finish. The product feels and looks expensive because of it. Haha! The actual bottle is inside a box. It includes important details of the product, I can't enumerate it here one by one because it's not written in English, I do hope that they will include a manual or product description inside the box that's written in English. 

SCENT
the scent/fragrance of the two skin Detoxers will not disappoint you. The Green Tea version really has that green tea scent to it (not just another artificial scent) and the rose version has a sweet and flowery scent. Both has a mild scent that won't irritate your nose. The scent will help you feel more relaxed and calm. 

CONSISTENCY
it has a thick gel-like consistency. For the Rose variant, it has fine rose petals and the other one has Green Tea leaves.


I really enjoyed using both of these products because it does t take a lot of my time in the morning and in the evening. I just need 10 seconds to take care of my skin. Yay! After my first use I noticed that my face was moisturized and it looks shiny. (Nope, not in a bad way) After my first week of using both of these products, my skin looks brighter and healthier. I had a small pimple while I was using this product and it only stayed for like two days and it was gone. Wow! After that, I didn't have any pimple coming out of my face for like a month! Haha I'm not a Morning person so I really love this product because it is so convenient to use. Two thumbs up! I recommend these products to you! Give it a try!
